If you want to set Avatar image you need to follow this explanation. Go to Users > All Users and find your profile there. Then click here http://screencast.com/t/CUA21Ytcl and set your profile image on Gravatar, It image will be shown then.

I didn't show the URL because I am editing on the live site so go back to original when not working on it.
In order to get my picture to appear with he Author Box is to check Show Avatars in Settings/Discussion
Unfortunately my Avatar appears below a blank image. The blank image has the following URL: http://www.hometechmtl.com/tp-link-10400mah-power-bank-review/image/gif;base64,R0lGODdhAQABAPAAAP///wAAACwAAAAAAQABAEACAkQBADs=
Any idea how I can get rid of this extra image?

Thanks for the reply but I had already checked those settings.
A little more digging turned up the culprit: WP Rocket. Turning off lazy loading of images got rid of the extra blank image.
You can close this ticket as the issue is solved.
