    Hi,

I have a very bad score on google speed on my welcome page because of images the theme use.

For this page, I use the Wide Flow page of your demo content. And that page uses the "blog : masonry fullwidth"model. And this model uses the ORIGINAL images to display thumbnails ! That's not logic at all ! This king of model must use the small images, or thumbnails ones, not the original ones, that's many too heavy.

I have exactly the same problem in your "elated related post" componant that I have put in my sidebar. The images used are 600x400 ones !

For example for the "Objectif de février..." in this SIDEBAR componant, the image used is this one :

Can you tell me how to fix it these 2 problems ?

    Thanks !

    Hello there,

We have just tested your speed time via GT metrix

    https://www.screencast.com/t/mIIiyutvWJB

So, like you've mentioned image optimization is suggested.

For some images on your site server is waiting over 1s

    https://www.screencast.com/t/fiXOMGaoV6x

When it comes to image sizes that are used, it is because featured images for posts are shown on single blog posts in bigger size as you could see from here https://www.screencast.com/t/Ad5V5lmvFtFs

So, to insure good quality on single posts, you should upload bigger image, but it is not necessary to add so big images if you don't care about losing quality on single posts.

Just try to do optimization of images with some tool for this purpose.

    Best,

    Elated

    Hi,

Why in the templates you provide with your theme (the one I use is blog :mansonry fullwight) for the view of 10 blog posts YOU choose to use the plain big sizes images ? It's not an optimization problem but a CODING problem ! When the admin upload an image in the media library, wordpress creates different duplicatas of the same image, in different dimensions ! Wordpress does all the job of resizing ! So the ELATED THEME team just has to take the appropriate image for the blog "all posts" view !

If you doesn't want to support this theme anymore, please just tell me where can I do the modification ! Because the way it's done, it's just non-sense !

    Thanks !

    Hello,

As we mentioned we have set image size in code, in order to show image in blog list and single blog post in good quality. WP creates duplicate of images, but there is also WP function, which allows to create images as per your needs.

You can change image size in functions.php file here https://www.screencast.com/t/Dgjg1N2OS. We use these sizes for different post formats.

Also, this could cause loosing quality of images you use on single post page. If you experience that, let us know and we will try to help with some css code, which will not force image to be in full width.

    Thanks
