It could be set when you set appropriate header type in Elated Options > Header and you need to do same thing in page backend. Also logo image should be in proper size.

The original photo you upload for your logo should be twice bigger than the one you want to be displayed on site, because of retina rule.
So, for example, if you want your logo displayed as 200x100 px, you should upload original photo as 400x200px.
And in Elated Options -> Header, you set the header height initially and on scroll if you use sticky header type, note that logo can\'t be displayed bigger than that height you set there http://screencast.com/t/cYoTwd7bKRN so it will be restricted in height by the Header Height you have set.
In our demo we used 330x70px.

How can I center the logo and split the navigation on the left and right of it?
The 'header type' setting in Elated Settings doesn't actually do anything when I change it?
