Well, I used your Four Columns Wide No Space template (see image0) for my recipe section, and as I search for any part in the edit page for adding my photos, I see in the visual composer an Elated Portfolio List block, which I went into its settings and saw the portfolio category from which is taking information (see image1) called "Superfood".
And so, naturally, I go to the Portfolio/Portfolio-Category tab of the dashboard, and go the Superfood category, and as I search for any part where I can edit the images, there is no such content there (see image2), where can I change that information?
Elated Portfolio List is displaying Featured image of each Portfolio, so to change those images appearing in the Portfolio List you need to go to back-end of each Portfolio and there set desired Featured Image
since it is the image that will appear in the Portfolio List.

Where or how can I change the 8 images shown in the page? (that you can see in image0)
There is displayed 8 images since there are included 8 Portfolio Items in that list, and for each Portfolio Item is displayed it's Featured Image, please take a look at next screenshot for better understanding.
All those Portfolio items can be found in Portfolio > Portfolio section:
and for each you can set desired Featured image in the back-end of it.
Also you can choose which Portfolio Items will be displayed in that list in the back-end of that page, open Portfolio List setting and there set which category you want to display:
Also, there you can set many other settings.

Great! I learned how to change the photos of my recepies' page from the item's featured image from the portfolio as you said. I did it with the first one :)
Now, what if I want to add more items? Where can I edit that?
I'm asking because I read what you said: "open Portfolio List setting and there set which category you want to display", so in this case "Superfood" is the category already set; such category has 12 items. I can use the template-items and change the item's content from Portfolio (as I already did with the first one, at least with its featured image), but I'm gonna keep adding more and more recepies in the future, so those 12 items won't be enough. I'm gonna need to create new items and add them to the Superfood category.
So I went to the Portfolio/Portfolio-Categories tab, searched for Superfood category, and went in. But I didn't see anything there that allow me to add more items, or even select other items.
What I meant with all of this is that I think the way it works is: you make a new item in the Portfolio, then somehow (which that's the question: I don't know how) you add it in the category (in this case "Superfood"), and then you call the category from the page editor in the One-Category Portfolio List from Elated Portfolio List Settings. Am I right? Or how does it works?
Solution is quite simple, you just need to, while creating Portfolio, in the back-end of portfolio there is Portfolio category section on the right https://www.screencast.com/t/kbFUncov3 there just check in which category you want that Portfolio to add, in your case just check checkbox before Superfood category.
Once you update your Portfolio Items it will be added in that Portfolio Category and if you create Portfolio List to show category Superfood that item will be added in the list.

Elated Portfolio List is displaying Featured image of each Portfolio, so to change those images appearing in the Portfolio List you need to go to back-end of each Portfolio and there set desired Featured Image
since it is the image that will appear in the Portfolio List.

Solution is quite simple, you just need to, while creating Portfolio, in the back-end of portfolio there is Portfolio category section on the right https://www.screencast.com/t/kbFUncov3 there just check in which category you want that Portfolio to add, in your case just check checkbox before Superfood category.
