The demo import issue is common and solution can be found in this article https://elated.ticksy.com/article/10845 . If you still have issues importing demo contet via one-click import functionality you can try to import in via xml file that is included in your zip file that you got in theme files you have downloaded from ThemeForest. To do so please follow these steps:
Log into your site as an administrator. Make sure you activated your new theme before proceeding. Go to Tools → Import Choose “WordPress” from the list. Upload the demo content .xml using the form provided on that page. You will be asked to map the authors in this export file to users on the blog. For each author, you may choose to map to an existing user on the blog or to create a new user. You will then have the choice to import attachments, so click on the “Download and import file attachments” box. Please be patient while WordPress imports all the content. Posts, Pages, Projects, and Menus are imported. You will need assign the menu a theme location & you’ll need to configure widgets. This is a limitation of WordPress’ import system.
if you still struggle with demo import please provide us WP Admin access with credentials and we will gladly try to do it for you.

Having the common error of Timed out Demo content upload, goes to 90% when trying to import content with no attachments
Deactivated all plugins
Tried the htaccess file way, still didnt work. (not sure if I did that right)
Not sure if I am updating the wright functions.php either. Tried that also.
I have attached a acreenshot of the console and its errors so you can also see.
Willing to allow access so you can take a look. IS there a XML file i can import instead with the demo pages?
