I'm trying to make my portfolio. But i've encountered a few problems with the Awake theme.
1) I've deleted all the portfolio categories by default and added instead my categories (webdesign, illustration, motion design, community management). However, since I've done that I can't manage to make my portfolio posts appear on my homepage (Portfolio Gallery). My homepage is empty with the following message "Sorry, no posts matched your criteria". Where can I fix that ? I've searched for a whole hour but can't seem to find the solution.
2) I'd also like my main menu to display the portfolio categories, not the article categories which are no use for me. :/
1) Can you please go to the back-end of that page and in the Visual Composer find Portfolio List element and create new one Portfolio List element with same settings ( since the issue might be that existing Portfolio list is still linked with previous categories that are now deleted ) Also, make sure that you assign your Portfolio Items to the new categories if you are displaying them by a category.
2) To add portfolio Categories in Main Menu please go to Appearance > Menus and there select the menu you are currently using. Than go to Screen options in the top right part of the screen and there check Portfolio Categories https://www.screencast.com/t/MDLimTzWcAl6 and than you will be able to add Portfolio Categories as Menu Items https://www.screencast.com/t/kFRVkT535VD .

I managed to put portfolio categories in the main menu which is great !
However, nothing worked for displaying portfolio items in my homepage. I've deleted the original "portfolio list" and created another but the message is still here ("Sorry, no posts matched your criteria"). I even tried to create a whole new page with a new portfolio list but no results either.
We are pleased to hear that the first issue is solved however, for the second issue, can you please provide us WP Admin access with credentials as private response so we can check it closer. There must be some misconfiguration.

I've updated the theme but it still doesn't work...
I must say that I'm starting to lose my patience over here. This issue had been going on for a whole week now. I have 2 weeks of holidays to work on my portfolio and I just feel like I'm wasting my time. :(
After a few hours of research I've managed to solve the problem by installing a plugin named Advanced WP Reset... It did the trick but I still don't know what the issue was... :/
