Media Library Not Working

    Hi,

    I had complained on the Themeforest page about this before.

    I am unable to upload any content to the media library. In fact, the media library is not even opening at all. I was told that this is because I don't have a "decent" server to run such a powerful theme. I was asked to increase my PHP values to

      max_execution_time = 300;

      memory_limit = 128M;

      upload_max_filesize = 128M;

      post_max_size = 256M;

      max_input_vars = 3000;

    I did that, in the php.ini and .htaccess, but still nothing. So, I kept changing them until they reached insane values like 1000M and 2000M, but still nothing works. The media library shows up blank, and any upload is met with an error message. Now my admin dashboard area is completely messed up, and I am trying to fix that. I've been working with Wordpress for the past 8 years, and never have I seen something as bad as this.

    Please fix this, for heaven's sake!! I regret the time I made a decision to purchase this.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for choosing our theme.

    This is quite strange issue and only 2 or 3 of our customers have faced such issue. This is definitely server related issue and we have suggested them to check it with them and also try to add following line to public folder .htaccess file on your host:

    SetEnv MAGICK_THREAD_LIMIT 1

    We got feedback from one of them that the issue has been resolved by the host.

    Because of limited server privileges and without proper tools, we cannot see what is causing this, so you will need to check thist with hosting support, and to ask them if there is some error, which they can look for inside server error log file. We can only suggest you to install word press locally http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-install-wordpress-on-your-windows-computer-using-wamp/ and to test that all theme options and functionalities are working perfectly.

    We are really sorry because of this, but issue is not caused by our side, or our theme, and each item which is approved by theme forest reviewers is roughly tested and be assured that all theme features are working just fine.

    Please let us know if you have any feedback from our host.

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

    I spent a better part of the week trying to fix this, and well, it has been fixed, but I don't know what caused it.

    So I started by talking to my host, who had no clue what they were doing. So, I decided to switch my host (since I was planning to do that anyway), and took an account with Bluehost. I did a fresh installation of Wordpress, migrated only my Uploads folder and painstakingly only my posts, tags, categories and their meta tables. After some initial misconfigurations, and, it worked! The theme is working well now.

    I don't really know what happened, if it was a problem with my previous host (GoDaddy) or some configuration problems in my old Wordpress installation (other themes were working fine, I checked), but there might have been some unique thing causing your theme to break, as you had mentioned, a rare case of only one in thousands, which is acceptable, I guess.

    I apologize for blowing my head off, the theme is still nice and it wasn't your fault that it wasn't working. It was probably some config issue at the host level. I will post this comment on the TF page also.

    Sorry again,

    ~vadakkus
