Editing the theme

Hi I have a question about editing the theme.

First, I cannot get the front-end of visual composer to work. The documentation says to go into "extend-vc.php" but that file does not exist on my theme.

Second, is there any way to edit the templates? Say I want to eliminate the carousel with this current template, can I delete it?

Third, how do I change the posts that are displayed in the carousel on the top of the page?

Fourth where can I edit the social media buttons to link to my social media pages?

I think the last two questions may be answered if I can get visual composer to work. Thank you!

I would also like to extend my fourth question and ask, is there a way to change the location of the social media buttons and make them bigger? I can do it on my other theme with visual composer but can't find the option on this theme.

    Thank you!

And one more thing, after I deleted the header background, all my widgets seem to have disappeared. I tried changing their color to black, but they still won't show up.

    Hello there,

Thank you for choosing our theme and writing in.

    1) Can you please check this article how to get get Visual Composer front-end editor https://elated.ticksy.com/article/10848/ , so just please follow instructions provided there.

    2) Yes, all content that you got with demo import can be changed for desired, custom content. So you just need to find that element, go to the back-end of the page where it is placed and delete that carousel. Also it can be carousel that is added on top of the page so you just need to remove it from the Slider Shortcode field in Elated General section https://www.screencast.com/t/Rhpkrdnqdu9 .

    3) Yes, you can customize that carousel. It is actually carousel added to that page via Slider Shortcode explained in 2). So the best way to do so is to create a page, in that page create a Blog Slider element and there set desired blog post you want to preview https://www.screencast.com/t/3VyWNpBGgKq and than just change to classic mode and shortcode will appear https://www.screencast.com/t/wa6IObcZ and https://www.screencast.com/t/qBhbe4YIRT. Copy that code without opening and closing [vc row] and [vc column] and just paste it int he Slider Shortcode field in the back-end of the page where you want that carousel to be displayed.

    4) Social media icons are placed in Appearnce > Widgets inside Top Bar Left widget area, so just open each of them and customize them according to your needs https://www.screencast.com/t/zzOJ0N2d  and https://www.screencast.com/t/GkAs16E4Nx.

    5) That's because in that page you are using Light Header skin so all content in your header will be white. So you need to use Dark Header skin ( since your background is white ) and you need to set it for each page separately. So just go to that back-end of that page, scroll down to Elated Header section and for the Header Skin choose Dark https://www.screencast.com/t/iVYElqYXUv . Do this for each page that is facing same issue.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.

    Thanks.
