    Hello Elated Team,

    I have a couple of issues I need assistance with.

    1. I have spent hours adding new listing type, along with custom text areas , select buttons and check-boxes, only to save, check the front end and find out that nothing has saved. I went back to the new listing types I have added and saw that only the name remains. All other changes I made do not get saved. When I modify it and save, it reverts to the default format. When I try to add a new listing type, only the name of the listing type is saved. Anything else simply reverts to the default values. I have tried a different browser entirely to be sure it has nothing to do with caching, and it remains the same. How can I fix this?
    2. I deleted the locations from the demo and added 3 new locations in the Listing Location, but these locations do not appear in the drop down menu of the location bar in the search listing widget at the homepage 
    3. At the "submit listing page", I would like to modify some of the entries such as 

             - Listing Name

             - Listing Subtitle

             - Description.

             - The header - Submit New Listing

             - The button - Add listing

                and change them to something else.

             It would be nice if I can get some direction on where to locate the paths where these text 

             were created.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for writing in.

    1) & 2) It seems that for some reasons setting set in the back-end are not saved when clicking update button, and usually such issue is server related, when it due to low server PHP resources or other server limitation changes are not saved. So please try to contact your server hosting in order to increase server PHP resources to some recommended values like these:

    max_execution_time = 300;
    memory_limit = 128M;
    upload_max_filesize = 128M;
    post_max_size = 256M;
    max_input_vars = 3000;

    and let us know once it is done whether the issue is resolved. Also, please provide us WP Admin access so we can investigate that issue closer, so we can check whether you have created those field properly.

    3) Those field are predefined within theme files and they had to be changed there directly. We can point you where those fields are. IT is file wp-content\plugins\eltd-listing\dashboard\templates\add-new-listing.php so changes had to be made there, but we do not recommend you to make any theme files modification unless you are familiar with programming.

    Please send us valid credentials so we can take closer look

    Before that please disable ALL third party plugins and then test your page. Also, contact your host and ask them if there is any issue on their side

    Please check credentials again. I have confirmed that they are valid.

    I have contacted my host and have made the recommended changes, there is still no difference.

    There is also no third party plugin active on the backend.

    The problem is not adding a new listing type, but making sure that the options you have chosen and fields you have added saves. The new listing will be added, but the new options you chose, the icon you selected, the fields you added, will not save. They will all revert to the default values/options after you save the listing type.

    Also, you did not say anything about the new listing locations that doesn't show in the drop down menu of the search plugin in the home screen. 


    Theme has also now been updated, but problem still persists

    Hi,

    1) Thank you for explanation. However, we have faced same issue, and such issue is server related since such issue is not present on our demo site, all settings set for the Listing Type are saved once the update button is clicked. Can you please make sure with your server that previously mentioned server PHP resources are as we suggested or even better if your server allows such settings. Than test your settings again.

    2) Listing locations do not appear on the front-end since none of the Listings are assigned to those Locations https://www.screencast.com/t/ka1dyARr2Ni so they are not rendered on the front-end, once we have added a test listing to a category Abuja and than Abuja Location is enabled on the front-end https://www.screencast.com/t/TQp67nAY .

    Hello again,

    We have tested this functionality on your site and the issue is still present. Can you please contact your server hosting whether there are some heavy caching since those options are not being saved. Also, please check with them whether they have any other limitation when certain changes in the back-end are not applied.

    Because of limited server privileges and without proper tools, we cannot see what is causing this, so you will need to check this with hosting support, and to ask them if there is some error, which they can look for inside server error log file. We can only suggest you to install word press locally http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-install-wordpress-on-your-windows-computer-using-wamp/ and to try to import demo content there just to see that functionality is working without problems. Also, you can create site locally and than migrate it on your live server.

    There is nothing wrong with my server. I have other websites running on the same server. On top of that, I have confirmed from the hosting that it is all fine and there is no limit whatsoever. 

    At this point, I cannot say am pleased with what is going on. My project have been on hold since I purchased this theme and it doesn't seem like we will be able to go anywhere beyond this point.

    we are sorry because of the issues which you are having. It could be that problem is present because host is using mod_security. Please try to add following line to WordPress .htaccess file:

    SubstituteMaxLineLength 10m

    You can put this line at the end of the file, after the # END WordPress line:
