So am getting error 500 and when i tried to access my site but when i deactivate the elated listing plugin,my website came back but the plugin gave this error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '$params' (T_VARIABLE) in /home/mabgfoxq/speakerrepo.com/wp-content/plugins/eltd-listing_/dashboard/dashboard-functions.php on line 15
If you are seeing one of following errors T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM or unexpected '[':
You need to contact hosting service provider, and to ask them to increase server PHP version according to WP requirements: https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/
PHP 7, or at least to PHP 5.6 would be needed. The error you are getting is because the current PHP version is below version 5.3.
Theme will probably work with PHP 5.4 but some plugins may require higher versions of PHP like for example WooCommerce https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/server-requirements/ so if it is possible it is always advisable to follow WordPress recommendations.
