Text Colour and Page alignment

    Hi,

    1.a What options should I be looking at to adjust the default text colour?

    1.b Same question for the categories and dates on the blog pages.

    There are a lot of text colour options in the 'typography' section in Elated Options in WP but none seem to be relevant.

    2.a Each page (from the menu) is differently horizontally aligned. For example in BIO the picture appears under the main site logo whereas in BLOGS the pictures are above the main site logo. Why is this and how can it be adjusted?

    2.b In the BIO page the picture on the left is not aligned to the text on the right. Is there anyway to sort this?

    Kind regards,

    Shaun F

    Hi there,

    Welcome and thanks for choosing our theme.

    1a. You can navigate to Elated Options > Fonts > Paragraph and change it there:

    1b. You can add this code to Elated Options > General > Custom CSS:

    .eltd-blog-holder.eltd-blog-masonry article .eltd-post-info-top>div>a, .eltd-blog-holder.eltd-blog-masonry article .eltd-post-title:hover a, .eltd-blog-holder.eltd-blog-single article .eltd-post-info-top>div{
        color: red
    }

    (you can add font-size and other css also)

    2a. First of all, you need to set same template on all:

    and for the BIO page, it seems the row has the padding:

    2b. Text has a margin-top, here is a specific custom CSS that will only work on this row:

    .vc_custom_1510426423491 h2{
        margin-top: 0;
    }

    Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

    Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I've implemented most changes.

    In regards to 2a, i'm unsure how I am meant to set all pages to the same template. Surely the blog page needs to be a blog template whilst other pages shouldn't be, etc. Additionally the HOMEPAGE, PLACES, IMAGES and BIO are the same 'Default template' and yet these pages don't line up the same horizontally.

    A further question is how to add captions to the pictures when they are clicked on? All the images here http://amedeocastellani.com/portfolio-item/people/ have had a placeholder caption added yet I can't get them to show.

    Thanks

    Shaun

    OK, although in regards to the misaligned horizons (question 2a) of the various pages you said that setting them to the same template would solve that issue although there are pages with the same template that still have misaligned horizons.

    I tried custom CSS on individual pages and also general CSS but neither worked.

    Hi, thanks for the reply. The start of each page starts in a different position. Picture included to show what I mean.

    Ascetically this looks quite bad. Is there a work around for this?

    Hello,

    We have just checked this once again, and as you can see in the following screenshots, it seems like all pages are showing up correctly on mobile and tablet view.

    Please try deleting your browser cache, or access your website from another browser/computer to see if the problem persists.

    If the problem persist, please be more specific and send us some screenshots, so we can replicate that on our side.

    Hi, the misaligned pages refer to desktop view, as per my previous reply.

    This is an issue on Chome and Firefox

    Hi,

    On this page
    http://amedeocastellani.com/portfolio-item/people/ (desktop version)

    At the very bottom is the title display and the categories. I believe I have disabled this but obviously not correctly. How would I stop both from showing?

    Secondly the images are displayed in rows with large spaces between when there is a mix of aspect ratios. Is it possible to eliminate this so they stack the same regardless of ratio? Similar in style to how blogs stack on the Blog page (desktop)?

    Hi there again,

    In each of the portfolio single elements you can edit this and choose layout you like:

    I suggest using Masonry so you eliminate those white spaces when using mixed aspect ratios.

    As for hiding items, you can add this code to Elated Options > General > Custom CSS:

    .eltd-ps-info-holder{
        display: none !important;
    }
    .eltd-portfolio-single-holder.eltd-ps-gallery-layout .eltd-ps-title{
        display: none !important;
    }

    Hello.

    Thank you for all the help so far.

    I am testing out the shop pages and believe, from your demo site, I can display the images in their original aspect ratio rather than square. How would I achieve this?

    edit - just bumping this in case it has been missed. Thanks.

    Fantastic, thank you. Is there a way to make the images stack so there aren't big gaps between rows (on the desktop website)?https://amedeocastellani.com/shop

    Hello,

    Please note that you need to regenerate all thumbnails if you've changed some product image sizes.

    Just install/activate this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ and then click to regenerate all images to apply new changes (Tools > regenerate thumbnails >> Regenerate All thumbnails).

  • three1ne replied

    This isn't the issue. I have already regenerated thumbnails with the plugin. If you take a look at https://amedeocastellani.com/shop (desktop version) then there are gaps between the bottom and tops of images. They don't stack like the https://amedeocastellani.com/portfolio-item/people/ Masonary page.

    Hi there,

    You are talking about 2 different pages that has different layouts set, shop and portfolio and does not have the same layout.

    As you can see on our demo http://april.elated-themes.com/shop/ all our images has the same size and they are displayed evenly on the page taking up same space. So please consider having your product image the same size.
