When you try to load more content via ajax you got a JS error "Uncaught ReferenceError: thisPortList is not defined" in modules.min.js:3 I got the same error on my page. Any guess ?
The normal ajax loading works without problem what so ever. It's the combination between a searching query and the ajax reload, this also appears on your demo page:
We will pass it to our developers and they will provide a fix in the next theme update (very soon). Thank you and sorry for the trouble.
Regarding the second issue, you can go to alter archive-portfolio-item.php file located in >> wp-content\plugins\elated-core\post-types\portfolio\templates\ and the replace this code

okay I didn't explain myself so well ;)

I also don't get the tag/category search to work, whatever tag i insert it just shows ALL posts not the tag specific.
Ps.: I also tried to deactivate all of my plugins
