    Hi,

I would like to use the theme completely in german, but at some positions it´s still in english, for example in the widget "Elated Woocommerce Dropdown Cart." Or if I add a product to cart it says "adding to cart" instead of the german words for it. Where or how can I set that´s everything in german?

    Thanks a lot,
    Christina

    Hello,

Backend text is not translatable since it doesn't include text domain, so text strings are not listed inside POEdit files.
This is the usual practice on ThemeForest, and only frontend needs to be translatable.

Translating backend text stings is only possible if you go trough all framework files and to change each text manually which will require too much work and changes will be lost after updates, so we are not encouraging you to do so. Simply leave text in backend in English.

Theme labels can be changed or translated to your language with poedit software which is native wordpress way - following guide may be helpful http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/translating-your-theme--wp-25014 (read from point 3) or any other plugin for translation such as Loco translate plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/ and here is beginners guide https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/beginners

    Hi,

I tried to use the .pot file to edit the Translation, using poedit, but I got a error message, screenshot attached.
I tried it on different computers, but got the same error. Do you have a working file for us?

    Thanks

Thanks for the file. It works fine, and we translated the word „Quantity“, for example. According to other treads in this support forum, we named the .po file „de_DE.po“ and put it right next to the .pot file in the language folder of the theme.

Unfortunately, the word („Quantity“ as example, but others also) does not get translated.

We also tried other common places for the .po file, but none of them worked.

    Could you please advice

    1) how to name the .po file properly for the Satiné theme
    2) where to put it

… and since we think that we already did that right, what could be the cause of the files not being translated?

Thanks a lot for your help & cheers

    Hello there,

    1. You named it correctly. For every language you should add new pot file and name it by it.

    2. Also, you put your file in languages folder next to satine.pot

If you're having trouble with this, you can try to use Loco translate plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/ or we can send you path to the files where you can change it directly.

Please let us know if this solved the issue and if there is anything else we can do for you.

    Hi,

We tried with the loco-translate plugin, but same, it doesn´t work.
Could you please check where´s the problem?

It must have to do with the theme, because wordings like "No products in the cart." don´t appear in WooCommerce.

We tried everything, but can´t find any way to solve it.

Beside "No products in the cart." we would like to translate e.g. "Quantity", "Adding to cart", "Shopping cart", "Checkout", "View cart", "Go Back Shopping"...

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Hello there,

You need to translate it to Loco translate > Plugins and then Woocommerce. We can see that you did it inside the Loco translate > Themes.

If you're having trouble with this, let us know so we can send you where in the files you can change this.

    Hi, thank you very much!

In the meantime I found out what was the problem, why Loco Translate, was not working...

Now I have most of the translation done, but could you please tell me, where I can translate the Elated Login Widget in the Loco Translate Plugin?

And when I click on the emty WooCommerce-Dropdown Cart Widget there´s this text:
"Why not return to our amazing shop and start filling it with products. Just click on the button below to instantly get back to the shop page. Oh, and while you are there, check out all of our mind-blowing discounts."
I can find it in Loco Translate > Themes > Satiné, but the translation I wrote in is not shown on the Website after saving.

    Thanks,
    Christina

    Hello,

    1. You can just go to Loco Translate >> Plugins >> choose desired plugin >> and then search for some desired label.

    2. You can try to change it directly into the code >> wp-content\themes\satine\framework\modules\woocommerce\woocommerce-template-hooks.php
