Hi thank you for the response, however when I go to edit a page I get the error

However once I disable the plugin Elated CPT you can edit the pages but the page builder feature does not work. Please advice. We just recommended this theme to 7 of our tech clients and it's not working. We have imported the site without a problem and the resources seem to be fine.
If Visual Composer won't load in the back end when you try to edit some page, please first make sure that you are using latest theme version with latest Visual Composer. Please follow update instructions.
You can upgrade our theme by performing following steps:
1. Download latest All files & documentation file from ThemeForest (your Downloads page)
2. Extract it and locate sceon.zip
3. Extract sceon.zip and locate sceon folder
4. Copy/Replace the content of sceon folder to /wp-content/themes/sceon folder of your web site.
Using this method, none of existing content or settings will be lost.
If this is not the case and you have following problems when accessing site or editing pages:
- Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED
- customlibEditGallery java script error in the console when you open developer tools in Google Chrome
- not found page is displayed when editing pages
- color Picker error
which was confirmed several times with GoDaddy hosting plans and also with few SiteGround hosting users, and problem is hosting related and it is due to mod_security check when some robust and feature rich themes from Theme Forest is used (SiteGround first encountered this with Avada theme).
SOLUTION IS SIMPLE:
Add following line to WordPress .htaccess file:
SubstituteMaxLineLength 10m
You can put this line at the end of the file, after the # END WordPress line:
If the problem persist, try with 50 or 100m.
That should do the job.

Why would your team of developers build a wordpress site with WPBakery options but leave the advertised homepage in all shortcodes? Why as a customer do I have to follow up in a forum to have the site operating properly? If I purchased another theme do you think its appropriate to have any of the pages in shortcode in text boxes when trying to use the backed editor as advertised?
Disappointed, wasting valuable time. Can you please refund me for this product.
We are sorry, but this is unusual. Every other theme, pages are build with Bakery elements, not with shortcodes set up in Text blocks. We checked that on our demo and it is set up properly, not in shortcodes:
For some reason this is displayed in shortcode and we would like to take a look once again to see why. We tried to login to your website to check once again this, but we couldn't:

Recently purchased theme:
1) When you click on Edit pages the screen blanks out there is some error.
2) Revolution Slider did not come with a accurate purchase code.

Just wanted to say that I was running into a similar error, where I could not add a new page or edit one. I am on Godaddy, too.
Your team's solution of adding this to the bottom of .htaccess helped.
