I am not creating a store site but want to sell affiliate products on my site. I want to have a page that displays columns of products by category that link to the external sites that sell those products.

I have been trying to create a shop page using elated elements not woocommerce since I won't be calculating shipping, tax, etc. Have tried to add a sidebar to that page that includes product widgets, etc. but can't get the shop page sidebar to appear.

Have done this before but can't remember how. All I get now is the shop page with the default sidebar widget. I want the shop landing page to look like this page from your demo site

    Thanks,

    Hello there,

    Thank you for writing in!

I gave you more detailed instructions on configuring WooCoomerce in you ticket https://elated.ticksy.com/ticket/1704652/.

Products on our demo are made using WooCoomerce. In case you want your single page to link to External product you should simply choose External/Affiliate product in your product single and enter a link you want:

Also please don't omit to set default shop page in WooCommerce>Settings>Products>Shop Pages:

And please set sidebar you have previously built(or imported with demo) in page backend:

Please let us know if there's anything else we can do for you!
    Thank You,
    Kind Regards,
    Norah

Thanks for the response. The Woo Commerce set up and config are so is so complicated and overly cumbersome if you just want to sell virtual affiliate products, I am overwhelmed by the interconnectivity of products, pages, subpages. etc.

    Hello there,

I am sorry to hear you are having problems with WooCommerce, please bear in mind that we are here for the any issue you may face!

Generally speaking, you can add custom sidebar to any page pretty easy just by setting Page Layout and choosing sidebar you want to show in the backed of the page.

Please bear in min that you can have functional categories and tags only by using Blog Single, Portfolio Single or Product Single and assigning them categories and tags.

The page you have sent us from our demo is automatically generated by choosing blank page as a default Shop Page in WooCommerce>Settings>Products>Shop Pages:

Also please set sidebar you have previously built(or imported with demo) in page backend:

All Elated product shortcodes are made with WooCommerce functionality integrated, so ,unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to use Elated product shortcodes without using WooCommerce. Still you can use other Elated shortcodes and try to build it using Portfolio or some other post type or shorcode if you really want to skip using WooCommerce.

Also if you think that would make things easier for you, you can import our demo content with WooCommerce plugin previously activated and you will see the way we builder product list at a glance.

Please let us know if there's anything else we can do for you!
    Thank You,
    Kind Regards,
    Norah
