    Hi

I have a question about products in section shop

After installation I have available pages such as (see attachements):

    • Product showcase
    • Shop five columns wide
    • Shop home
    • Shop three columns

Which suggests that all went properly during installation/import content.

But unfortunatelly i cannot see the specific product page such as:

    http://allston.elated-themes.com/product/knitted-chair/

During installation i have choosen a import content, and i had woo cooomersce plugin installed (not sure if it was activated)

In my opinion it wasnt created (?)

What should I do? Should i uncover (in some way) those pages with products from shop?

Should I content import again? (I'm worrying about overwrite data).

    Any suggestions?

    Hi there,

When you're importing demo, you will have to activate required plugins, you can read about this in here:Complete Guide To Demo Import

So when you activate WooCommerce plugins you can import demo and products will be imported.

Then you can find products in here:

Unfortunately, if you created some content, with new demo import, this will be overwritten. We can suggest you to create product from the beginning, if you're not planning to import demo again.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

    Best regards,

    Marie

I expected: Do or not do re-import. Nothing wrong can happen or be careful i lost everything.

    Really Unhelpful answer!

I did re import again, and..i'm lucky.. shop products correctly appeared, pages not lost, portfolio not lost.

Only small isssue.. small mess in widgets. Doubleed items.

Obviosuly: 3 backups: Wordpres backup, backup from allston (theme) options backup, and backup from wordpress site.

    Hi there,

In Allston options > Import you can see in here that if you plan to use shop, WooCommerce has to be installed:

Content will be overwritten if you made some changes to those pages. And when you import demo once again, if those pages has the same name like the one that goes with demo import, it will overwrite it. So, just the pages with the same name.

Can you send us URL to your website so we can take a look the this? Also, tell us which widgets are not set up properly (send us some screenshot)?

If you're talking about duplicated menu items, you can remove them easily.

With every demo import comes a new set of menus, so probably you imported our demo data several times.
This is no big deal and you can simply remove extra menu items with this helpful plugin:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/quick-remove-menu-item/

It will create an "x" sign next to your menu items, so you can easily delete them with one click.

If not, please let us know.

    Best regards,

    Marie
