    I'm editing a 'home' page that came with the theme but I'd like to go back to its original state and start over. How can I do that?

    You should try using revisions functionality:

    You should first click on Screen Options Button to enable them:

    Then click on Browse and go to the beginning of Timeline and click Restore this revison:
