This happens periodically to us and the last time was when we basically tried to use the main theme customized without a child theme.
We couldn't make that work, so we're using the child theme, which used to fix this issue. Worth noting, we do have our own license for WPBakery and have for quite a while.
That last update a few days was thought to be the problem. But we rolled it back. Even deleted it with the main theme active, and followed the prompts. If you'd like, I can give you guys creds.
Also, whenever you are, we'd like to know when you are available for custom work. Can see you don't do it now. But we'd pay you to develop our own theme of Newsroom. Just one theme, no child theme. It's not the industry standard for us and it's also lot of resources.
Thanks for writing in! We are very sorry for the late answer, we were working with a limited resources for a past few days and we are not working during the weekends, thank you for your patience and your understanding!
I am not sure if I quite understand your issue, could you please explain it in a greater detail? Problem here could be your missing sidebar, right?
As you can see this functions perfectly on our demo so you should be able to reproduce it as well on your website, would you mind providing us with login credentials (in Private Reply) and site url, so we can take a closer look?
Generally speaking you should make sure you have uploaded some widgets in Sidebar Widget area in Apperance>Widgets:
Unfortunately, but we are not in a position to accept any custom work, because we primarily need to focus on providing Theme Support to all customers. We hope you understand.
In case you are not familiar with programming, you could hire someone to do this for you. You could look for someone who you can hire for this kind of job at the following link: - http://studio.envato.com
Thanks for understanding.

After closer inspection at your website I have figured out that your blog templates has been changed and that divs bellow are on the same level at your website, while actually <div class="eltd-column2"> should be located inside <div class="eltd-two-columns-66-33 eltd-content-has-sidebar clearfix"> div like on our demo :
This could be result of direct changes in php files as well as a result of some 3rd Party plugin. In order to solve this you can ether revert blog php files to default ones and/or try to figure out which plugin may be causing this issue or you can try to use Widgetized sidebar instead of a page option:

I see you built the sidebar using WPBakery for the post. We don't typically do that unless it's a graphic heavy article. But which files specifically have been altered to make this occur?
A customized version was being built and it was compressed. The compressed name was different and when someone extracted it, it was named "newsroom" and overrode your theme files.
But we've replaced it and it still didn't fix it. Thus far, have gone one by one deleting plugins. Are you certain it's not that we have our own WPBakery license?

We are glad to hear you were able to fix this issue yourself, because review of our clients additional code is unfortunately a little bit out of our support loop, we are sorry.
You can read more about what is not included in theme support in this helpful text:
Item support does not include services to modify or extend the item beyond the original features, style and functionality described on the item page. For customization services that will help you tailor the item to your specific requirements, we recommend contacting the author to see if they privately offer paid customization services or checking out the great service providers on Envato Studio.
Whatever you decide about changing theme template files, please have backed up separately default theme files and all the changes you have entered.
Please let us know if there is something else we can do for you!

Figured it out. That override changed the comment form, which had been an extra ending </div> tag for a wrapper. All works now.
We're thinking of not using the child and simply adding to the main theme, keeping an eye on the changelog. We'll see. Thanks anyway.
