The first screenshot you show in your reply the "filter by name" concern actually the "category filter". I have no problem with that.
For menu order, I double check none of my portfolio singles has same menu order in the backend. And it still displayed by date. (I even tried to put display by name, but it's stuck on "display by date")

This issue is forwarded to our developers, but since its is pretty complex, we would need some time fixing this. Thank you for your understanding!
In a meanwhile you can filter portfolio by date(ASC or DESC) in order to achieve desired order.
You can quickly edit date of publishing by using quick edit functionality.
Putting different times in the same day is valid, but I would recommend you try to put different days in the month in order to be able to sort those more quickly. Again we apologize for this inconvenience and we are very grateful for your understanding.

I bought this theme partly for this feature and it's not working. I understand you need time to fix it but it has been 3 weeks now. Can you have a look please..
Please note that we are constantly working on updating all our themes. At the moment we don’t have any ETA when this update will come out. At the moment, our developers are focused on new version of WP in order to cover that compatibility. Sorry for any inconvenience once again.
As we mentioned in previous reply, you can try to use some other Order by option in the meantime (order by date) until we find some solution for that and implement it in some of our future updates.
Please note that filter feature is filtering only visible portfolio/blog items and in conjunction with load more feature which loads next batch of items ordered by Date or Title, and this new batch is unfiltered.
Unfortunately there is no fix for this, as it actually works properly. There is no way for load more to only add items from that filtered category, because script which we are using for the filter is working in that way.
So, only solutions are: a) to set all items to be visible without Load More functionality b) to disable filter option c) to increase number of portfolio items on your page so you can have more items for each category

I wanted to be able to change the order in my portfolio whenever i want. I saw that i can organise it by date or name. So I have two questions :
1- What does "menu order" means and how can i use it?
2- Is there a way to reorganise the portfolio display order?
