Anyhow, according the screenshot from your first query, it seems like you've chosen Main menu to be shown within Footer area. Go to Appearance >> Menus >> create a new menu >> add several Menu items >> and then go to Appearance >> Widgets >> navigate to desired Widget area >> and then choose previously created Menu navigation.

when i import my demo content all the links in the footer import messy and i am not sure how to fix this?
