Bug report: Portfolio item > menu area transparency

    Hello support,

I would like to submit a bug report in the menu Portfolio item > menu area transparency.

    To reproduce:

    1. create a portfolio item
    2. add images
    3. choose portfolio fullscreen slider
    4. set menu area transparency to 0 (transparent)

It does not turn to transparent and display a default color(eg. white) instead.

Because allston_eltdf_rgba_color() takes the argument of $color (background color) but the $color is empty by default.

So, a workaround is selecting any color together with this transparency setting to make it working. I found that the imported demo is working, I think it is because the data is preset. When I tried to change the background color and change it back to none. The result is same as a new item. It is due to the fact that  $menu_area_background_color_rgba always return Null without a specified color.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hello,

Please note that you need to set any Background color as well. Then you can choose desired transparency for that color.

    Hi Jerry,

Thanks for pointing that, that's what I found out after tracing the code and providing the workaround in previous comment.

I suggest this point should be noted in the documentation or other user might encounter the same thing.

Or add additional checking to the $menu_area_background_color_rgba variable for a default solution. It is up to the Allston developer.

    Many thanks.

    Hi,

We didn't have problems of this kind because users usually want semi-transparent background, so they set their color and opacity. It's true that we didn't note this anywhere in our documentation and we'll try to improve that for some future releases. What is important that everything's working fine and you won't experience difficulties whatsoever. Thank you for reaching us and don't hesitate to get in touch if there's anything else!
