1) I have set the thumbnail image position to "below featured image" for the Single Product page, but it seems like when I save, no changes are made on the actual page.
- I would like the thumbnails on the single product page to go under the main image. - Instead of clicking on the thumbnail images, can I just hover them to see in on the main image?
2) Also - if possible - how can I make the main single-product image to be in a square shape? I can do it with CSS, but just wondering if it's already in the theme somewhere.

I apologize about the belated reply - we have been getting a lot of tickets lately, and our reply times have not been as fast as we would have liked.
1. - Our developers will take a closer look at it. I passed this over to them.
- Unfortunately, there is no options for that through theme option, you can only set that magnifier for the featured image:
You can maybe look for some WooCommerce addon for this so you can replicate what you desire.
2. You can change it in Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product images:
