    Hi, I downloaded and installed Kodell or Wordpress.
    I´m A Beginner so I chose to import the Demo (Images, ...).
    I´ve been able to create a new Portfolio Item. For my starting page I´m using the "Portfolio Scattered" Layout. After I created my own Portfolio Item I wonder, why it is not visible on the "Portfolio Scattered" Page, where all the demo-portfolio-items are located. I searched in the Documentation and as far as I understood I need to do some settings described in the documentation "8. Custom Shortcodes" and "portfolio list shortcode" but I can not find any Portfolio List settings on my Dashboard! I´m also not able to find any of the demo-portfolio-items - I´ve already searched in Blog, Kodell Portfolio, etc. - so I can´t even teach myself how to make propper settings by copying the exisitng demo settings. Where do I find the settings fpr the Portfolio List and how can I make my Portfolio Items appear?? Please help!

    Hello,

    Please note that after installing / activating this theme, you need to Install/activate all required plugins like WP Bakery Page Builder, Elated Core/CPT and Slider Revolution (+Contact Form 7 and WooCommerce if you plan to use shop).

    Then you can import the demo with our OneClick (Elated Options >> Import) or with native WP importer tool (Tools >> Import >> WordPress) via XML, located in the file you downloaded from ThemeForest website / XML.

    Then you can go to Appearance >> Customize >> Homepage setting >> and then choose desired homepage.

    * Before that, please check your server resource settings. Check/increase these MASTER values or ask your hosting service to do it for you.

    max_execution_time = 300
    memory_limit = 128M
    upload_max_filesize = 128M
    post_max_size = 256M
    max_input_vars = 3000

    You can install/activate some 3rd party plugin for that in order to check it.

    After you do this, you can try to import the demo or just let us know and we will try to import the demo for you.

    * Note that when importing a demo onto your site RevSlider slideshow has to be imported separately. To import a RevSlider slideshow from one of our demos please go to your WordPress admin panel Slider Revolution -> Import. Search for some-home-slider-X.zip located in the file you downloaded from Theme Forest / xml export folder and import that demo’s slideshow.

    Also you can follow these guidelines on how to import the demo here >>

    Complete Guide To Demo Import

    Then you can just replace the content.

    If you want to add a new portfolio list, just go to alter some existing page or create a new one >> add Portfolio List shortcode >> and then choose desired option for that within Portfolio List settings.

    Before that you should add several portfolio items from your back-end >> Kodell Portfolio >> Add New portfolio item >>

    Hi,

    thank you.

    I´ve already downloaded the demo but I still have problems with the Slider Revolution. On my Dashboard I went to Slider Revolution and wanted do activate the Plugin but it seems like I have no Item-Purchase-Code for it in order do be able to activate it. I only have a code for Kodell. How can I activate Slider Revolution and how do i make it run properly??

    I also already created a Test-Page (just a Project with some Pictures) for the Portfolio but none of the pages I created appear in the list when I go to "Appearance >> Customize >> Homepage setting >> and then choose desired homepage" Whats wrong here?

    When I go to Kodell Portfolio, the site does not look anything like the image you attached. I still don´t know where to find the settings for the "add Portfolio List shortcode"

    On my Dashboard I could see that I need to update my WP Bakery Page Builder. But I could not just update it. Instead I was directed to go to WP settings  in order to activate the Page Builder and when I click there I need to make an extra account on Page Builder etc. But I am confused: I thought by buying Kodell I get all the plugings I need in order to run the theme properly. Do I now have to purchase additonal licenses for Slider Revolution and WP Bakery Page Builder???  I really did not expected that.

    Hi there,

    I'm sorry for the late response, it's because of the weekend days and because of the Orthodox Christmas.

    The plugins that you got after the purchase are called bundled and we, as a theme authors, have purchased an extended licence for them. That means you don't have to activate them and they'll work for you regardless of that.

    In the following text we'll explain how the bundled plugins work:

    Bundled plugins offer the same core features and functionality as the standalone version of the item on CodeCanyon.

    Some plugins may ask for a purchase code for registration/activation once installed, however, you can simply ignore these messages as bundled plugins do not require activation or registration. The plugin will still work as intended with the theme once the theme has been activated/registered.

    When a plugin is updated, the theme author will include the latest version of the bundled plugin with their next theme update. So you can easily update the bundled plugin when you next update your theme.

    You can read more about this here:
    https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins

    Can you tell me what is the issue with Revolution slider? Maybe the sliders are not imported. Send me some screenshot so I can see.

    If you want to set your homepage, it can not be custom post type (which is portfolio). You will have to create Page and set page to be your homepage. In that page you can set portfolio list, the list of the portfolio items that you can create in Portfolio section.

    When you create the page, you can add here your Portfolio list shortcode:

    You can look also in our documentation about those shortcodes we created: http://kodell.elated-themes.com/documentation/#custom_shortcodes

    I explained you above how bundled plugins are working (WPBakery and Revolution slider).

    Best regards,

    Marie
