    When trying to upload the theme I get the error "The link you followed has expired. "

    I have tried this on 2 CLEAN installs of WP 4.9.9 and 5.0.3

    I have also gone as far as unzipping the theme and FTPing it and the child theme.

    When I try to activate either I get the white screen of death. 

    I'm not a noob, but there must be something wrong w/ the theme files.

    (Note, I CAN install 'other' themes without issue)

    Solved this by changing this value in php.ini   -   'post_max_size = 64M'

    Thanks for writing in, we are glad that you manage to solve this on your own. Here are the recommended php parameters:

    max_execution_time = 300;
memory_limit = 128M;
upload_max_filesize = 128M;
post_max_size = 256M;
