    Hi there,

Recently we received a notification of Theme update and as per the instruction we have updated our theme. Earlier we were able to add Quick Menu Link Icons & Text on home page. But after updating the theme we are unable to see the icons and text of quick link menu. Earlier It was showing Six Icons & Texts. After updating the theme it is showing only two. Please advise on this about how to overcome with this issue.

Below is the screenshot for your reference from your theme and our site icons.

    Hello there,

I apologize for the late reply, we have been getting a lot of messages daily and are trying our best to keep up with every request. I hope you can understand.

Please make sure to update the theme again, we have made some changes and uploaded new files to themeforest but did not update the number. Also make sure you follow these steps:

Pre-Step: Deactivate and Delete all bundled plugins that come with the theme, especially Core(CPT) plugin. This way they will be updated along with the theme as well.
    1. Download latest All files & documentation file from ThemeForest (your Downloads page)
    2. Extract it and locate findme.zip
    3. Extract findme.zip and locate findme folder
    4. Copy/Replace the content of findme folder to /wp-content/themes/findme folder of your web site.

Using this method, none of existing content or settings will be lost. Also, you will have to do this with FTP client that you're using.

Hope this helps if there is anything else that we can help you with please don't hesitate to ask.

    Kind regards,

    Sean

    Hi again,

I'll try to see how we can help you.

Before all, make sure that you update our theme to the latest version as we suggested earlier. You can see that it was updated few days ago:

If you are not familiar with the updating procedure, you can find the instructions on the following link:

    How to update a theme?

Then, while editing your home page, go to Elated Listing Search Settings, and make sure that you set those Featured Types Taste | Style | Shop | Live | Visits | News. Note that this quick menu works only for Listing categories/types and not any other pages.

Also make sure that icons for these types had been set and everything shoud display properly.

If that doesn't turn out to be the case, please feel free to write back in, and provide us wp-admin (not cPanel) username/e-mail, along with the password you've already provided, so we can investigate the cause of the issue.

If you need any further assisatance regarding our theme, please feel free to write back in.

    Best regards!

    Joey

    Hi there,

While inspecting your site I noticed that your theme as well as WordPress version have not been updated yet:

    7749238051.png
    1743761987.png

    5344226034.png

As we suggested earlier it should be updated to the latest version before we can proceed.

Unfortunately, theme installation and updating of the same is not included in theme support. You can read more about this here:

    https://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy#whats-not-included-item-support

If you feel it is too complicated, maybe you should consider hiring someone to do it for you, but I'll try once again to explain the procedure to you step by step.

When updating the theme, take the following steps respectively:

    - Make sure that you have PHP version 5.6 or greater on server.

    - Create a full site backup before the update, so it doesn't get lost if something goes wrong.

    - Change the theme to some generic theme like for example Twenty Nineteen.

    - Deactivate and Delete all bundled plugins that come with the theme!

     - Download latest All files & documentation file from ThemeForest (your Downloads page).

    - Extract it and locate findme.zip.

    - Extract searchandgo.zip and locate findme folder.

    - Now, using your FTP client like FIleZilla (e.g.), copy findme to /wp-content/themes/ folder of your site replacing the existing findme folder.

    - After that go to wp-admin panel and update all bundled plugins.

    - Update WordPress to the latest version.

    - If the settings from Elated Options are not applied, go to Elated Options -> General -> hit Save Changes, clear browser cache and check the page.

After the update you should be able to follow the instructions from previous reply and solve the issue.

Please note that from Friday, April 26 through Sunday, May 5 many of our employees will be on leave due to the Easter and Labour Day holidays.

Because of this, there might be a slight delay in ticket replies. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this might cause.  We will be back in full capacity on Monday, May 6.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Best regards!

    Joey
