I tried to update a theme, but now I get an error message on the login page. With ftp I have replaced the old files of the theme with the new version. Then I get the error on the login page. Then I put the old files back with ftp but that did not help.
What can I do to solve this problem?
The error is this:

In the meantime I have restored a backup. And I have had a more knowledgeable person help to update the theme. She received this error after her attempt. :

So what should I do to make the update?
Reason for update is that Visual Composer doesn't work anymore. I hope it will work again after updating.

Sorry for the late response, we are having a lot of tickets due the major theme updates we are doing these days.
1. Download latest All files & documentation file from ThemeForest (your Downloads page) 2. Extract it and locate ion.zip 3. Extract ion.zip and locate ion folder 4. Copy/Replace the content of ion folder to /wp-content/themes/ion folder of your web site.
You will have to do this with FTP client that you're using. Just in case make a full backup before updating.
Note that first you will have to deactivate all our Elated plugins, update theme and then activate them back.
The issue appear probably because the CPT wasn't updated.
Let me know if you still have this issue after performing update like I explained. If you do, please provide me admin credentials so I can take a look. Thanks!
