is it possible to add an excerpt to the portfolio list (masonry type) ? I'd like to add one in the "eltd-item-text-holder" class. I could do it in the plugin eltd-cpt, in the php file, but then it would be erased when you'll update the theme and plugin.
Unfortunately, there is no predefined option for this within the theme. So the only way to achieve this is by customizing some of these files you are mentioning. Perhaps you could use Child Theme for customizations so you avoid losing them on theme update. Anyway, you can refer to the tutorial on the following link regarding avoiding losing changes:
