    Good day.

    I'm using the vertical header template from Savory. I have a main menu on the left hand side with white text on black. However I would like to find out how I can make the black bar be transparent so that I can see a bit of the picture which is in the slider behind it.

    Kind regards

    Hello Ralf,

    Welcome to your support management and thank you for choosing our theme!

    If you navigate to Elated Options -> Header -> Header Vertical, there you can set Transparency to some value between 0 and 1. So if you set it to 0.5:

    You should get something like this:

    If you need any further help with this, you could provide us your wp-admin credentials along with your site URL so we can provide you the best possible solution.

    Best regards!

    Joey

    Hi Ralf,

    1- In order to set the opacity of the background of the header you can use the following code and copy it into Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS or Elated Options > General > Custom CSS

    .eltd-header-vertical .eltd-vertical-area-background {
        opacity: 0.6;
    }

    you can change the value of the opacity to any number between 0 and 1 that you'd like.

    2- For the issue of the menu position make sure to address the following things:

    first - Make sure you erase the menu widget from Appearances > Widgets > Vertical area. (see image below)

    This widget duplicated the menu you have setup within Appearance > Menus. Make sure this widget area only has Elated Social Icon Widgets.

    second - Make sure you upload a smaller logo. (see images below)

    Hope this helps! If there is anything else that we can help you with please don't hesitate to ask.

    Kind regards,

    Sean

    Hi Sean

    Thank you for the reply. I would just like to find out how you got to the last image you sent me so I can change the size of the logo. Then also how do I get the menu on the vertical side bar?

    Thank you

    Hi again Ralf,

    1- The last image I sent you is a developer tools dashboard within google chrome that you can view any site's code with by pressing f12 while viewing the website. However this does not influence the code of the website you need to change the size of the logo file and re-upload it into the media and select the smaller version of the logo at Elated Options > Logo. (see image below)

    2- In order to set the menu on the side bar you need to navigate to Appearance > Widgets > Side bar > Navigation menu widget. (see image below)

    If this is not the widget area you meant please make sure to include screenshots of the place you would like to add the menu to. Thank you in advance.

    Hope this helps! If there is anything else that we can help you with please don't hesitate to ask.

    Kind regards,

    Sean
