Keeping the minified css in sync

I've just made a few edits to the main CSS file (annoyingly this was overriding the CSS I put in the Elated Options), but then I noticed the site was loading the minified version of the CSS so I had to make edits to that instead. Meaning I now have two slightly different CSS files now - Is they any automated way to keep them in sync?

Oh and why is there two versions?

    Hello,

    Thanks for writing in.

Simply activate child theme and add your css code inside child theme style.css and because it will be loaded after parent theme stylesheet it will override parent theme styling. If you only want to modify css, then you don't need child theme, since you can simply place custom css code in Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS field, and you won't loose your css after updates because this filed like any other theme option is saved within WordPress database.

For any other issue you are facing please feel free to ask us and we will assist you as soon as possible. I will give my best to help you building your site.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Vladimir

    Thanks for your reply.

I'd done this mostly through the Additional CSS field, but there was a padding issue that kept on being overwritten by the minified CSS. So I just went in and changed it.

    Thanks for your advice though.
