After purchasing Ambient, my client asked me for a specific layout of the images in the portfolios. They want a image carousel like the one I have sent in the Related URL. I know this is not a standard option with Ambient. Can I buy a separate plugin for this carousel? Will it function within the portfolio system on Ambient? I like how the portfolio layout works https://ambient.elated-themes.com/portfolio/gallery/four-columns/ Can I get the same look using Ambient but have the end result showing the image carousel instead of the default options in slider? Trying to make client happy! Thanks for your help or suggestions.
I'm not sure where would you want to apply this layout. Do you want to use it to display images in a single portfolio items, or to display your portfolios on some page? If there is a plugin for that carousel, you could probably use it in single items if you choose custom portfolio type. This way, our single portfolio template will be overriden and you'll only be able to see on the frontend content that you bild with WPBakery. So if this plugin gives you shortcode you can use with WPBakery in which you could add images, you could achieve it probably.
However, if you are trying to use this carousel to swipe through different portfolio items, it's unlikely it will work because our portfolio items are custom made types we developed for our theme and with the 3rd party plugin you could hardly use anything other than images of default blog post types. For that, you can try our Elated Portfolio Slider shortcode:
Also, as general notice, when it comes to 3rd party plugins, since we didn't tested all the plugins except those bundled or listed as compatible with our theme in theme's features, we can't guarantee that those will work perefectly with our theme, but you can try them out and if no issues arise, feel free to use them.
