as the title already says I want to enable/show the default sidebar on all Woocommerce product category pages. Is there a way to achieve that?
I looked up all the posted tickets but couldn’t find any solution to my issue. I already tried to set this up in the “Elated Options – Blog” section but it only enabled the sidebar for archive and blog pages but not for the Woocommerce product category pages.
Woocommerce shop page (with default sidebar – this is fine):
Welcome to your support management and thank you for choosing our theme!
In order to display sidebar on your Shop and Category pages, first you should enable and choose shop sidebar for your default shop page.
a. Make sure your Shop page is set in Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > Products:
b. Then if you do not have the designated widget area you need to navigate to Appearance > Widgets > and create new Custom Widget Area - (it needs to be custom area):
c. Now edit the Shop page in Dashboard > Pages > find and Edit the page > scroll towards the bottom and find "Choose Widget Area in Sidebar" and select your Area.
Note that all WooCommerce child pages like Category pages will inherit settings from Shop page. This is woo default functionality and it cannot be changed.
