Links not working within columns

Hello, I installed this theme for my blog a while back. And I haven't been able to post anything in a while because I can't figure out the shortcode.

I'm not sure whether I installed everything correctly, but I utilised the theme in the following way.

    1. First I installed the theme

    2. Then I edited the template posts with my own content.

    3. Now, whenever I want to create a new post, I duplicate one of the template posts and edit it in the visual editor.

This was going well, until I realised that large chunks of my text were not selectable and that the links within these chunks could therefore not be clicked.

I've been working on my next blog post for quite a while now. And after becoming very frustrated, I decided to copy and paste little sections of code at time, so I could see exactly where the problem arises.

I realised that when I start a column of text using this code [vc_column_inner width="1/2"], the text reacts as normal.

However, whenever I close the column of text using the code [/vc_column_inner], all of the text within the column can no longer be highlighted and the links cannot be utilised.

I need to be able to close the columns as I want to separate longer posts into sections.

    I hope this is clear.

Please let me know if you need me to explain in more detail. I have included a link above to exemplify. However it is an unpublished post that I am working on now that is causing me all the frustration. Its layout is a lot more complicated.

    Hi there,

Welcome to your support management and thanks for choosing our theme.

Just to make sure that you are using the adding this in the Classic mode of WpBakery?

I will however ask you to provide us with your Wp-admin access in order to be able to check this on your end.

Only I need to pointout that you may go to WPBakery > Rolemanager and enable your Post types to Custom, simply check all of them. This will enable WPBakery on posts

    https://www.screencast.com/t/kUg42LmZq

That way you will be able to edit your Post with backend editor, select row and columns and change the layout to your needs.

Iff you somehow still enocunter issues please it would help if you provide us with your Wp-admin access in a private reply so we cen test this on your end.

    Thanks,

    Mici

    Game changer!

Thank you so, so much. I wish I'd gotten in touch sooner. I wasn't even using WpBakery as I didn't have it enabled on posts. I was just going into the classic editor and trying to adapt the code in the demo posts.

Now that I can actually use WpBakery, the whole process is SO much faster and much more user-friendly. I could have literally saved days if only I'd known.

Feel a little silly now, but better late than never.

Thank you again for the timely response!

    All the best,

    Jody
