Moose + Plugin wpDiscuz

Hello, I think I found a bug in the Moose Theme.

I've been using the plugin "wpDiscuz" for years and I do not want to miss it anymore.

Unfortunately, it does not harmonize with the theme, which is a pity. You have to reload a page again and again so that the comment box is displayed correctly. See image.
This always happens the first time you click on the page. No matter what side. It's everywhere, where comment boxes are.

Is there a solution for that? Do I have to change something? Or is the bug fixed?

    Hello there,

Thanks for writing in. We have tested your website in multiple modern browsers and on multiple devices, and we could not reproduce the issue. There were no errors in the console and the comment form always looked like this:

    8669622551.png
    9359594405.png

Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies before checking again.

When it comes to 3rd party plugins, you have to understand that we didn't and couldn't test all plugins out there with our themes. The official plugins we provided bundled inside our theme are the ones that are tested several times before the theme was launched and we guarantee their functionality. If you're having issues with any other plugin you downloaded yourself, in the future, please refer to the author of the plugin or the team behind it.

    Thank you for your understanding.

Let us know if that was helpful.

    Kind regards,
    Ralph Wizard

I deleted the cookies and cache. Error remains :(

I can turn to the author of the plugin, but there are more errors that occur with the "fade" lade effect. See also the other ticks here:

    https://elated.ticksy.com/ticket/2161782/
    https://elated.ticksy.com/ticket/2161064/

I recorded that. So you see it: https://youtu.be/8JXdYpKfPbs

    https://youtu.be/8JXdYpKfPbs

The error comes only if you use the page with the loading effect "fade". If you open the page in the new tab everything is fine.

But if you eg. From the start page goes to the page and the loading effect (fade) comes you have the error of comment box.

Same with other things. As with scripts boxes, or in the forms can be seen only when reloading the page, the google ReCaptcha.

Try it from the start page with the loading effect. Then you see that the comment box is not displayed correctly. Not many other things.

    Hi,

When transitions are turned on, header and footer are not reloaded, only content gets reloaded. This can cause issues mostly with some plugins because they demand their scripts to be loaded in header or footer and they are not. This is how page transitions work, so please consider turning them off by navigating to Elated Options -> General -> Settings ( https://www.screencast.com/t/jGVjF1Xu4 ).

Alternatively, you can turn off Page Transition on individual pages where they are causing issues in Elated General options on the page ( https://www.screencast.com/t/Lozjvly2Z8 ).

    Hope this helps!

    Best regards,

    Kevin

First of thanks for the bug report.

But unfortunately the bug also occurs on normal sites such as. in my "About me" without plugins.
    See the video here: https://youtu.be/kzAl1qg6uiQ
If you are using the Firefox browser on my homepage you can not scroll anymore !!!

The page transitions causes many mistakes! Something you have to fix ... is this passed on to the developers? And then fixed?

I paid $ 70 for the theme and can not use a simple option like page transitions?! .....
And not only I have the problem, even a friend who has bought the theme ... My friend is already thinking about giving it back ...
There are several people with the problem. The developers have to do something .....

I know that I can also disable the page transitions. But I do not want that. I want to use this option ....

Can one now expect a fix / update?

    Hi,

Page transitions on our older themes work by reloading only content and not header and footer. This is how they were intended to work. Since this creates issues with 3rd party plugins, because they demand their scripts to be loaded in header or footer and they are not, we usually recommend turning off page transitions.

If you know coding, one of the solutions is to inspect the plugin, and to find main function which initialize this plugin, and add that function call in our theme folder / js / ajax.js, open this file and paste this function inside function perPageBindings () { ... } then minimize whole code from ajax.js (use this http://javascriptcompressor.com/ ) and copy / replace ajax.min.js inside same folder.

    Best regards,

    Kevin

The bug is also without plugins !!!!
Again ...., even with normal pages without plugins you can not scorllen in Firefox !!!!! See VIDEO:https://youtu.be/kzAl1qg6uiQ

I guess that does not mean that the pages transition does not work properly on NORMAL pages!
There must be an UPDATE / FIX / come !!!

Even if I turn off all plugins and have only normal pages, I have the BUG in Firefox browser! That can not be wanted so ... right?

    Hello again,

We have tested the website using the Firefox browser, and we could not reproduce the behaviour, as you will be able to see in the video we have sent in the attachment.

If you are still experiencing the issue, we are sorry for the inconvenience. We will need you to give us permission to disable all of the 3rd party plugin so that we can investigate this and find the culprit of this behaviour.

Also, try disabling the Smooth Scroll feature:

    And see if that helps.

Let us know if this was helpful.

Yes you do not find the problem at the moment, because I deactivated the effect "Fade" at the moment !!! ... Otherwise you can not scroll on the homepage with the loading effect.

Activate in the settings the effect "Fade" again at the pages transition! Then go to my START PAGE and then "Informationen (german)" and then "Über Mich (About me)".
As in the video! If the loading effect comes then you can NOT scroll!
And on the page are not a plugin! And yet you can not scroll in the Firefox browser !!!!

I also disabled all plugins! It is due to NO PLUGIN! It's a bug in the theme ... and that too on "normal" pages ...

And yes they have the permission to deactivate all plugins.
Then you will see that it is a mistake in the page transition.

    Hello there,

We have tested the website, and we could not find the culprit of this behaviour. We will forward this ticket to our development team so that they can take a look.

In the meantime, as we could not reproduce this issue on our local environment, you can try reinstalling the theme by performing the following steps:

Pre-Step: Deactivate and Delete all bundled plugins that come with the theme, especially the Core(CPT) plugin. This way they will be updated along with the theme as well.

    1. Download the latest All files & documentation file from ThemeForest (your Downloads page)
    2. Extract it and locate moose.zip and moose-child.zip
    3. In your admin panel navigate to Appearance > Themes and activate one of the default themes
    4. Once active delete both the parent and child Moose themes
    5. Upload the parent and child themes with the zip files from step 2
    6. After uploading the theme files activate the parent theme and navigate to Theme Options > General and without changing anything simply save the settings.

Let us know if this was helpful.

    Kind regards,

    Thanks for the feedback.

The problem is also on a normal demo pages WITHOUT plugins that I have extra times installed on my server.
Also has the same problem, yes, my friend. And he uses, for example. only 2 plugins. And has the same problem as me with the pages transition.

I hope both of you fix this quickly. It is very annoying because we both like to use the pages transition. And then the page is not loading properly. Be it on normal pages and be it with plugins on pages.
Especially not scrolling in Firefox is extremely annoying ....

I hope we get a response when a fix / update come.

Thank you for the great help here. :)
