    Hello,

    We are using the WP Bakery Blog List module on our homepage and are wondering if it's possible to show excerpts below the post title - the way it appears on the blog page template we're using here: https://cygalartdeco.com/blog-news/

    Please advise.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for writing in.

    Each single post has "Excerpt" option that is used in Blog Lists.

    You need to navigate to Dashboard > Posts > find and Edit single post > on this page find Screen Options > enable "Excerpt" > edit Excerpt field:

    Hello,

    Thanks for the info but I know where/how to add an excerpt. My question is - is there a way to make the excerpts show up in the WPBakery Blog List we are using on the homepage? The first attached screenshot shows the excerpts that appear on the Blog template page (called News & Blog on our site: https://cygalartdeco.com/blog-news/). The second screenshot shows how they appear in the Blog List module on our homepage (https://cygalartdeco.com). I have added text in the excerpt field on all 3 of these posts. How can we make it appear? Please advise.

    I was going to open a separate ticket for this but there is no longer a "Submit New Ticket" here? We are unable to drag and drop client items (logos) on our about page. We were hoping the latest WPBakery update would fix this issue but it hasn't. Please advise. Issue is here: https://cygalartdeco.com/art-deco-furniture-made-in-germany/

    [1] Excerpts - replace the post.php file located at:

    wp-content\themes\sahel\framework\modules\blog\shortcodes\blog-list\layout-collections\post.php

    with the one contained in the .zip file that we've sent in the attachment (you will have to unpack it).

    Note that we've just added this snippet of code:

    [2] Client elements - you can only drag client items if you are using the Clients Carousel element; that functionality was never possible with the Clients Grid element that you are using on the page from the URL that you have provided.

    Thanks for the info! I replaced that file and flushed the cache but am not seeing the excerpts under the blog posts in the blog list on the homepage. Can you please check? Thanks for your help!

    I have checked again custom code and excerpt is displayed successfully:

    If you changed post.php and it doesn't work, please check again do you post has text into excerpt field.

    If that doesn't help, could you please provide us with your wp-admin and FTP credentials so we can log in and investigate on this further?

    You should deactivate autooptimize because from some reason they don't allow to see this section.

    I deactivated Autoptimize, flushed the cache, did a hard refresh in an incognito window and still don't see the excerpts. Please advise.

    Try with this following css in Elated Options >> General >> Custom CSS field:

    .eltdf-blog-list-holder .eltdf-bli-content .eltdf-bli-info-bottom {
    display: block !important;
}

    It worked! But...the text on the post with the black bg is impossible to read. Is there any way to target that text and make it white (but not the other two there)? Please advise.
