"Number of Words in Excerpt" option is working for blog templates, but if you are using some shortcodes (elated blocks) to show blog posts on your page, than you need to set this under this shortcode settings like mine screenshot http://screencast.com/t/jpCMReyIyo7n

How can I set up excerpt lenght? In the setup options there is a field to change the lenght but nothing happened....
