New Child Theme Modules

I want to setup a child theme and create some new modified templates for things like the header. Similar to visual composer, can I create a new template with the same name like header-type3.php and the child theme will read this file first to create the header instead of the original one in the parent theme? Or how would I go about modifying templates from the parent theme in my new child theme?

    Thanks!

    Hi Spencer,

Yes, you are correct. The procedure is the same as when you are creating a new VC template. You just have to create a template with the same name as the one you want to change, and save it in the same path in a child theme as its in the default one.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you, thanks!
