Thanks for your explanation ... it would be great if you could add an import/export feature right out of the options panel; I know this from other themes from TF - and it is for "non-coder/programmer" really much more easier to save the settings for an export/import from a "sandbox" site to another than grabbing it from the database. I for myself have no experience working with the phpMyAdmin.

I haven't found anything in the theme options panel to backup/export the theme settings.
Where and how can I do this to export/import the settings?

P.S.: I know that they are saved in the database, but this is a rather inconvenient way to export the settings for import it to another site/server.
