Noticing more and more that the documentation is quite Incomplete... lots of features not explained in any kind of detail.
No mention of the drop down category menu with images as seen on the demo.

Yes but what if you want appearance like the other options?

For setting wide menu with post lists and image at the end , please set parent menu item to wide https://www.screencast.com/t/Df6jtGOK and 2nd level menu links have to be custom links, and posts are simply posts https://www.screencast.com/t/SRxWzOI5v . Last menu item is using custom widget area https://www.screencast.com/t/YeaPhnNVDe and inside this widget, there there is text widget which is containing image with a link https://www.screencast.com/t/v0dzZ3Tt3b . Knowing to set this structure, you should be able to create any other wide menu layout without problems.
